After offering to donate $1 million to the city of New York in exchange for erecting an immense air-filled version of Ciroc Vodka, Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied and then swiftly switched to an alternate plan to help ring in the New Year for fellow New Yorkers.
So instead of trading out the Big Apple for a Big Bottle of Blue Vodka, thousands of New Yorkers will enjoy free cab rides courtesy of the Bad Boy impresario.
“New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely,” Combs said.
Ciroc street teams will mill in the Times Square/Chelsea area from 11 PM until 3 AM or until supplies are depleted and willing people in the area will receive $15 debit cards courtesy of Diddy, Ciroc and New York’s Taxi and Limousine Commission.
