Pacquiao And Mayweather Unable To Resolve Issues

by KS STAFF on Jan.07, 2010, under GAME, THE EARLY EFFECT

Pacquiao Mayweather BoxingAfter meeting with a retired federal judge – Daniel Weinstein – for an insane 9 HOURS yesterday, Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao,” were unable to come to terms for the superfight the entire boxing world wants to see.

The back story is old hat by now. Mayweather wants both fighters to submit to Olympic style drug testing. Manny Pacquiao doesn’t feel the need to do so because he’s never had to before AND has never failed a drug test.

Most know the reason Money wanted Manny to submit to Olympic style testing, has to do with his camp’s suspicion that the Phillipine born fighter uses performance enhancing drugs.

Pacquio filed a defamation suit against Mayweather and his handlers to rebuke their claims and collect a few chippers in the process.

Interestingly enough, Pac’s refusal to submit to the tests, knowing fully well that Mayweather would be subject to the same scrutiny, brings about suspicion. He has every right to refuse, vehemently even, and call off the biggest fight in the past twenty years.

But who will fight him now without thinking he may have the system all figured out?

The answer, says promoter Bob Arum, would be junior middleweight titlist Yuri Foreman. Arum, who also promotes Foreman, announced the same day the two will likely square off on either March 13 or March 20.

Should it happen and Pacquiao win, it would be his eighth world title, a record number.
