A. Keys & 50 Cent Reminisce On Good Times With KS

by KS STAFF on Feb.01, 2010, under VID E OZE

Would you believe us if we told you we sent Alicia Keys and 50 Cent some giant frames to commemorate all the good times we’ve had over the years?

That she loved hers so much she placed it on her piano and sang us a song? That he ripped his open with the fury of a 7-year-old with the okay to gorge a giant SNICKERS bar?

Probably not… The truth is, the following video is actually a new promotion called fanvideo where anyone can log into their myspace/facebook account and watch their favorite artist (or maybe just one they like on some level) adore their ID for said social network.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/fanvideo and check it out for yourself!

Young Buck Strikes Again: “Do It For Ya” (G-Unit Diss)

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Jan.05, 2010, under SLAP

YoungBuck-03-big

Looks like someone had a long look in the mirror and decided it was time to strike back? Five days in and three G-Unit disses by Young Buck… by the time the week is over he may not need Game.

Yeah, yeah, we know… it’s a little tardy and maybe even irrelevant, but why not? Go there homie.

Get yours and even if 50 doesn’t let you out of that contract, at least you let him know EXACTLY how you feel about him!

Shots Fired! Young Buck Drops 2 G-Unit Diss Tracks

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Jan.04, 2010, under SLAP

young-buck-steroids-450x300Fresh off a year where he was found out and ‘begging for mercy,’ Young Buck sets off 2010 with a pair of G-Unit disses. The first, “Happy New Year,” was presumably released as the Apple dropped and “Steroids,” the newer diss, surfaced closer to the end of the weekend.

It could be an act of desperation in an attempt to resuscitate his career, or he could really mean what he’s saying. The bad thing is, most people don’t really care anymore.

Cold thing about it is “Steroids” is actually a decent diss. Nice beat, well orchestrated bars, great energy, concept, etc. He seems to have generated a decent amount of interest, but dude really can’t win in the long run.

Buck kinda did himself in with that long ass message whimpering about how he fucked up… before we know it they’ll be claiming he’s bi-polar like the boy Game.

They really should do a Fuck G U-Not album together.

Jay Z Reaches Out To 50 Cent To Squash It?

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Dec.07, 2009, under KS NEWS

tao1As of last week, Jay Z and 50 Cent were at odds with each other… at least from 50’s perspective that is.

Throw in Beanie Sigel’s claim that his former mentor was aiming to air both him and his newfound confidant out and the battle of NYs biggest rap stars seemed destined for a pay per view battle (the night of Mayweather Pacquiao would be dope! Just let them be the undercard right?)

According to sixshot dot com, Jay Z however, has no plans on embarking in a showdown with the G Unit head honcho. In fact, he wants the Jamaica Queens native to effectively join him onstage.

Sources close to BET are reporting that Jay Z did in fact reach out to 50 Cent in an effort to have him record a verse on the “Empire State of Mind” remix with him and Nas.

If fif does choose to contribute to the track, the same source all but confirmed the session would be documented.

We’ll see… we all know dude knows how to hold a grudge.

50 Cent Points The Finger At Interscope

by KS STAFF on Nov.20, 2009, under KS NEWS

070815-50From the looks of it, 50’s Before I Self Destruct is destined to blow up right in his face. After heavy promotions and a week of Internet sales, the Jamaica Queens rapper’s fourth album is projected to sale something in the neighborhood of 150,000 units in its first week.

A far cry from his expectations for sure, 50 has all but decided the onus of record sales is not on him.

“With the actual outcome of the project, once the record leaks from the international plant, what more can I do,” 50 explained in an interview with Funkmaster Flex last night. “I can’t, I held the record long enough to get it to them, to mix and master it and for them to ship it and then it leaks from the plant internationally, I’m like come on, then that’s it.

“They lost the ball. You know what I mean, if the numbers look funny to me, it’s they fault.”

He continued to defend himself in an interview with BET, offering his success rate isn’t so much dependent on album sales anymore.

“If I was in the space where I absolutely needed finances from the actual sales of the record, it might mean something, but if it offers the material that I can go out and perform and make everyone enjoy themselves as much as I enjoyed myself making it, Ill be happy with it.”
