Carmelo Anthony Wants Out Of Denver

by KOPY KAT on Aug.17, 2010, under GAME

carmelo anthonyAll signs continue to point toward the eventual divorce between Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets.

League sources say it is now a matter of when, not if, Anthony and the Nuggets will go their separate ways.

Anthony is weighing whether to sign a three-year, $65 million extension offered by the Nuggets. His dilemma, league sources say, is what affords him the best chance of continuing his career elsewhere. Anthony could sign with Denver and convince the team to then trade him. His other option would be to not sign the extension, thereby forcing the team to move him rather than risk losing him next summer as a free agent.

During his annual basketball camp in Colorado on Saturday, Anthony said he had no timetable on when he’ll decide whether to sign the extension. (continue reading…)

Combining the respective forces to record the Jonestown project was instigated about a year ago after Mess, Jacka and Blanco worked on some random tracks. As fearless leaders of their respective cities, it was an obvious draw for all three to come together for a common cause.

jay-z-party-velvet-room-atlanta-rick-ross-young-jeezyYoung Jeezy is making waves with his new track “Death Before Dishonor.” In it, he takes a few swings at Officer Ricky and defends the ‘honor’ of his incarcerated comrade Big Meech.

Meech, whose real name is Demetrius Flenory, is currently serving 30 years for his role in operating a continuing criminal enterprise where he and his brother Terry (”Southwest T”) sold over $300 million worth of cocaine from 1990 -2005.

Jeezy’s ties to the Flenory’s empire, Black Mafia Family or B.M.F., is a little ambiguous. He has however, called various members “family” on different occasions.

Jeezy doesn’t waste a whole lot of time getting down to the business of dissing Ross. After a few witty verses he asks:

How you blowin’ money fast?/ you don’t know the crew/ Oh you part of the fam, shit I never knew…” (continue reading…)

the_social_networkSlated for an October 1 release nationwide, The Social Network follows the life of 20-year-old Mark Zuckerberg, who is the Harvard dropout responsible for our favorite social networking craving.

Ironic this trailer is released a day after Kanye West does an impromptu performance at facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California… and his hit single “Power” is playing in the background.

None of the founders are said to be involved in the project, but it is adapted from Ben Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal.

Eduardo Saverin, a co-founder of facebook, was a consultant for Mezrich’s book.

The film is being distributed by Columbia Pictures.
