New SLAP | E-40 Ft. Too Short | “Bitch” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.12, 2010, under VID E OZE
A couple weeks til Revenue Retrievin’ drops and E-40 is busy as a hooker on a Saturday night.
Ironically the subject of his new self induced leak with Too Short points to the opposite: the perception that woman is God’s gift to man and men that act like BITCHES.
Pretty simple stuff there. Act like a “Bitch,” you get treated like one.
The other half of the video is dedicated to the grind. As if he’ll ever have to go back, 40 offers a retro spill (”Over The Stove”) that won’t soon come to light.
Good to see you back mobbin’ tho big homie.
Dr. Dre Introduces HP Beats Audio
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.12, 2010, under VID E OZE
On the surface this appears to be another reason why Dr. Dre won’t ever release Detox and it probably is.
All the testimonies from his friends and understudies are comforting, but dude is seriously raking in cake with the headphones and now this.
According to this commercial, HP Beats Audio was built specifically with Dre and his music in mind.
“We tore the computer apart so my music sounds like it’s supposed to,” he says.
On the good foot, Stat Quo earns a cameo and they are in the studio, so who knows… He could be moonlighting one way or the other.
Big Boi Ft. Too $hort & George Clinton | “Fo Yo Sorrows” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.10, 2010, under VID E OZE
Big Boi went and tapped two self professed chronic connoisseurs in George Clinton and Snoop Dogg to carry out the vision and sound of “Fo Yo Sorrows.”
Probable material from the long awaited Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty, the track is unsurprisingly a testament to being free to blow with no regard.
Don’t want no girlfriend/ I just need my dope
won’t flip on the whirlwind/ I’m behind on my smoke…
Or some shit like that… you know how it is when Mr. P-Funk gets to spittin’ his isms.
B.O.B. | “Nothin’ On You” ft. Bruno (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.09, 2010, under VID E OZE
With the release of The Adventures Of Bobby Ray on the horizon, the video for “Nothin’ On You” featuring Bruno, represents the dawn of a new day… or at least a new artist.
And that’s the beauty of B.O.B., if you will. As an artist from Atlanta he could have very easily fallen into the current code, but decided to stray from the norm. Instead, he dug into the memoirs of his artistic spirit and this came out…
A dose of nostalgia inspired by Atlanta rap royalty.
Do yourself a favor and try not to focus on the BGs… there are entirely too many.
Kokane | “Twilight Zone” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.08, 2010, under VID E OZE
West Coast Veteran Kokane recently dropped a bomb, more or less reprimanding his West Coast rap peers for their lack of individualism, kreativity and cojones.
Some kind of epidemic seems to have spread throughout the Golden State and all of its neighbors.
In effect, it’s developed somewhat of a “Twilight Zone” and Koka’s testimony is an attempt to bring the West back to its senses.
ATL, Cube and others check in for the visual.
