New SLAP | Brotha Lynch Hung | “I Plotted”
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.02, 2010, under SLAP, VID E OZE
You either love Brotha Lynch Hung or you don’t, but one thing is certain. Dude can rap.
The material he chooses to spit, oft times causes people turn the other way, but his creativity and skill, has allowed him to sustain a career in this industry.
After a seven year album hiatus (Lynch By Inch, ‘03), he’s going full board and wants to invite any and all of his supporters past, present and future, to dine with him.
Fittingly, the Sacramento emcee’s comeback is being orchestrated by the powers that be @ Strange Music and “Plotted,” the second video/song off his forthcoming album Dinner & A Movie, is as odd and sonically pleasing as it gets.
New SLAP | Kokane | “The Twilight Zone” ft. Kokane
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.17, 2010, under SLAP, WCW
West Coast legend? Pioneer? Hookmaster? Kokane is all that and a bowl of grits. Fortunately for the listening public, he’s decided to bless us with a full length album.
Appropriately entitled Gimme Mine in a day where independence reigns supreme, Kokane’s lead single “The Twilight Zone” is gaining momentum for the heavily anticipated project.
On the track, Kane takes it upon himself to clear up a few things. The first order of business, per his self induced hook, would be for the West to regain the swag it is known for:
“What the hell is really going on/ why the West is in the Twilight Zone?/ Let’s do what we do and don’t follow the Jones…
WCW | Game Ft. Ray J & Esther Dean | “P*ssy Fight”
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.03, 2010, under SLAP, WCW
There were whispers about this track a few months ago and the original snippets (I remember hearing) didn’t sound like this.
Looks like the added time Game decided to spend in the studio is paying off.
Not sure what to make of this in the way of the direction music is spinning, but you can’t deny it’s risky and fun. Easy? Perhaps… but who cares? Not my career.
That said, Game, Ray J along ith this mystery chick Esther Dean, really go there on this explicit mid.
As is his custom, Game calls out whoever is on his mind and manages to pull Ray J into the fray.
The latter brings about the most comical aspect of the track in that 1, Ray J is flowing and 2, he calls out Reggie’s main, Ellen D, Missy and Tila Tequila… Whoa!!
New Slap| Mistah Fab Gets At “Ungrateful” Bay Area Critics
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.02, 2010, under SLAP
With his name and rep growing throughout the Golden State, Fab has assumed the title of Prince of the Coast and you’ll have the unique opportunity of weighing in when his September 7th hosted mixtape drops sometime this quarter.
The overwhelming theme on this uptempo track – “Ungrateful” ft. Lil Kev – is having accepted responsibility for what one can control.
Fab too, seems exhausted at having repped his soil for so long only to find support for his projects dwindle at every turn.
What you want me to do?/ man i can’t please you/ say I sell out if I try to leave you/ but if I stay here I’ma fuckin’ freeze dude/ cause it’s cold and it’s chilly by the water…
What you want a nigga to do?/ cut off my hands then give em to you?/ cut off my feet then give you my shoe?/ cut off my teeth/ will that help you chew?
New SLAP | E-40 | “The Server” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Jan.21, 2010, under SLAP, VID E OZE
The big homie chopped the dreads off and went straight back to the block on this one.
Granted, there will be other mainstream tracks that dissuade faithful 40 listeners from the routine bump, but this is a great sign for Revenue Retrievin’ (Day & Night Shift).
Albums slated for a March 30, 2010 release on Heavy On The Grind Entertainment/ E.M.I/ Sickwidit Records.
We’re a little tardy with this, but it sounds good any day of the week. So if you’ve already peeped it, lock in again and bob that there head.
