6a00e54ee286eb883400e553ec92428834-800wiThis Monday Charlamagne Tha God took to his Twitter page(@cthagod) to announce his unfortunate departure from Philadelphia’s 100.3 The Beat. While the station cited it was interested in going a “different direction,”many onlookers suspect he was dumped for doing his job.

Just days after Beanie Sigel released a scathing diss record (“Average Cat”) aimed at his former mentor Jay Z, Charlamagne locked the rapper in for a one on one interview. In it, Beans, a Philly native, aired out the Rocafella head honcho, claiming he and other members of State Property were mistreated during their respective tenures.

Since then Sigel has continued his relentless attack on Jay Z and recently announced he’s forged a new working relationship with 50 Cent and G-Unit.

Charlamagne Tha God has had no such luck in terms of a new employer, but did provide Global Grind with a quote that suggests he is in good spirits and optimistic about the future.

“It’s the nature of the business,” he said. “Wendy told me when Puff allegedly got her fired from Hot 97 it was the best thing to ever happen to her brand. Remember I said allegedly, I don’t know if Jay’s camp did it but history has a strange way of repeating itself doesn’t it?”

Oddly enough, this is not the first time the controversial radio host has been fired. He was let go from “The Wendy Williams Experience” last November, as the station was said to be cutting costs due to the economy.
