Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys recently made their first formal public appearance together and Mashonda, Beatz’ estranged wife, does not approve.

The R&B chanteuse granted Bossip.com an interview whereby she expressed her obvious displeasure with the new (or old, depending on who you believe) couple’s carefree approach.

“I believe the two of them are meant for each other,” Mashonda told Bossip. “Only a certain type of woman would sleep with a married man, and only a certain type of man would abandon his family for another woman. I guess they are ‘equals.’ Those were his words on that video.”

Nothing much to say here… just some fun in the sun… in Dubai for A Keys.

Never really understood why people lather up in sun tan lotion or sun block, just to jump in the water and have it wash right off… Then again, there’s no telling whether or not she let it marinate.

Alicia Keys visited the “Today Show” this morning to discuss her new single “Doesn’t Mean Anything.” Unsurprisingly, the VMAs were the first topic of choice for the interviewers and while Keys attempted to sidestep an initial reference to the Lil Mama incident, they were able to produce a politically correct response from the 12 time Grammy Award singer/songwriter.

“We could appreciate her being overwhelmed and inspired but we would have preferred she did it from her seat,” she said, referencing Lil Mama’s attempt to join she and Jay-Z onstage while they performed “Empire State Of Mind” at the VMAs on September 13th.

The other issue that was bound to be addressed, was Kanye West’s decision to run interference during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.
