The Los Angeles Lakers were impressive in the opening game of the NBA Finals last night and Kobe Bryant topped the 30 point plateau for the 11th time in 12 games.

Since having fluid drained from his knee, Bryant has been unstoppable and Nike apparently thought enough of his performance thus far to compile a quick compilation of his latest and greatest accomplishments.

According to the Boston Herald, Andre 3000 is being sued by a Massachusetts postal worker, Timothy McGee, who is claiming the eccentric rapper’s Emmy Award winning cartoon, “Class of 3000,” borrowed elements from a show he created and proposed to the Cartoon Network practically ten years ago.

McGee’s show, The Music Factory of the 90’s, was pitched to Kenny Babyface” Edmonds in 1997 and the former art student alleges “characters, artwork, storylines [and] concepts” were stolen to aid benefit the success of “Class of 3000.” The suit further insinuates that Andre “3000″ Benjamin ”was credited with the creation, executive production and starring role in ‘Class of 3000,’” which mirrored much of the themes and/or direction of “The Music Factory.”

“The similarities between the expression of Mr. McGee’s work in ‘The Music Factory’ and that of ‘Class of 3000′ are sufficiently detailed and pervasive.”

McGee’s lawyer, Jerrold Neeff, is seeking damages including, but not limited to, all profits from the show, legal fees and “whatever this court may deem additionally just and proper.”

Neef added, “”We’ve requested $2 million in damages thus far…The rest remains to be seen.”
