New SLAP | Ya Boy | “We Ready” (Video)
by KS STAFF on May.04, 2010, under SLAP, VID E OZE
Fresh off a rollercoaster ride with the Black Wallstreet and into a new deal with Akon’s Konvict Music, San Francisco mainstay Ya Boy is more than ready.
For purposes of this post, however, that’s the name of his new joint. It features glimpses of the More Than A Game documentary starring the NBAs most recent back to back Most Valuable Player Lebron James.
A little outside the norm for your normal Yay Area artist, but that’s probably why in the hell he made it all the way to Atlanta and cinched the deal in the first place.
If anything, it shows Ya Boy’s dexterity as an artist. He’s undoubtedly one of the Bay’s most overlooked and slept on artists. 2010 looks like it might be shaping out as his well deserved breakout year.
New Slap| Mistah Fab Gets At “Ungrateful” Bay Area Critics
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.02, 2010, under SLAP
With his name and rep growing throughout the Golden State, Fab has assumed the title of Prince of the Coast and you’ll have the unique opportunity of weighing in when his September 7th hosted mixtape drops sometime this quarter.
The overwhelming theme on this uptempo track – “Ungrateful” ft. Lil Kev – is having accepted responsibility for what one can control.
Fab too, seems exhausted at having repped his soil for so long only to find support for his projects dwindle at every turn.
What you want me to do?/ man i can’t please you/ say I sell out if I try to leave you/ but if I stay here I’ma fuckin’ freeze dude/ cause it’s cold and it’s chilly by the water…
What you want a nigga to do?/ cut off my hands then give em to you?/ cut off my feet then give you my shoe?/ cut off my teeth/ will that help you chew?
New Slap | Skrill Gates | “Swagga”
by KS STAFF on Jul.22, 2009, under SLAP, WCW
Intro: It’s West Coast Wednesdays Pimp!! And if you’re not already familiar with Skrill Gates, this new single promises to put you up on game.
Profile: A Payroll product straight up out the Yay (that’s the Bay Area for all you rooty poots), been papered up, posted in the A for a hot one, while he continues to stack his mail….
The Single: “Swagga” may borrow from an all too common truism today, but the truth behind Gates offering couldn’t be more sincere. Before Frohawks became a fad, he sported one freely in 2005 and continues to emit and identical poise on the mic in ‘09.
Skrill keeps the term in perspective, making a point to emphasize “swagger” isn’t something denoted by how many Louis Vutton Belts or Polo shirts one owns. It’s more a matter of how one carries himself regardless of the amount of bottles he pops, the jewels he sports or the car he drives.
Skrill Gates bitch yeah I got that swag/ I could slide in the bucket say ‘fuck the Jag’/ ya bitch gon’ still love me why the fuck ya mad…

NEW E-40 | “Break Ya Ankles” featuring Shawty Lo
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Sep.04, 2008, under SLAP
This one’s heating up in the Yay and it will soon make it’s way to the airwaves in Atlanta (hopefully if these hatin’ ass niggas play the shit). As long as he’s been the “Ambassador” to the Bay Area, 40 H20, along with a myriad of other Bay Area/West Coast artists, have found it difficult to truly crack most other regions. new slap inside…
