by KS STAFF on Apr.02, 2010, under KS NEWS, VID E OZE
Ice Cube as a Grandaddy? Yep! Come this summer the Don Mega is trading in his microphone for a walking stick as Bow Wow’s grandfather in the film Lottery Ticket.
The flick also stars Loretta Divine (who plays Cube’s wife?), T Pain, Teairra Mari, Charlie Murphy and Mike Epps among others.
Bow is going thru his daily trudge of school, girls and all when he stops by the convenient store to get a lottery ticket for his Mama when they actually win.
He swears his grandmother to secrecy only to find out the entire community knows, including the town bully who wants to tear his head off for the scrilla.
Lottery Ticket hits theaters this summer.
Bow Wow Says Cash Money Merger Is Legit + “Regret” (Video)
by KS STAFF on Aug.19, 2009, under KS NEWS, VID E OZE
On Monday Bow Wow announced to the world that he is now Cash Money Millionaire and the blogosphere went nuts, mainly because he said he was finished with rap music a couple of months ago. Unsurprisingly, after absorbing all the feedback, positive, negative and all kinds of in between, the 22-year-old Atlanta native took to his own blog to clear up the confusion and even apologized for some of his missteps in the past.
“To the naysayers, I hope that you give me the opportunity to earn your respect,” he said. “I know that over the years I’ve put many of my faults on display which I make no excuses for. I’m young and I’ve made mistakes and I will make more. No different than any other 22 year old, I still have some growing up to do.”
Bow Wow continued, allowing that while he was “serious” when he made the initial announcement to retire, he deserves the chance to change his mind, like any other person in the world. Ironically, he used future Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre – who just un-retired again – as an example of one who’s retired and returned to his profession more than once.
“I’ve been down with Baby, Slim, Wayne and the whole Cash Money family from the beginning,” he disclosed further, offering his relationship with the New Orleans collective is genuine. (continue reading…)
Bow Wow’s Back & Now A Cash Money Millionaire
by KS STAFF on Aug.17, 2009, under KS NEWS
Earlier this summer Bow Wow pledged that he was done with the rap game and would instead focus on his movie career. He announced on twitter, no less, that he was tired of it all, that he’d experienced too much too soon and didn’t feel like there was much left for him to see…
“Man I be gettn bored wit life. I wish I neva did and seen err thang so soon,” the 22 year old rapper tweetedJuly 7th. “I have nuffn to look forward 2. I’m down more than I am happy.”
Well, apparently he’s up again and Young Money Record’s Lil Wayne helped resuscitate him. Bow took to his favorite social networking site Sunday night and announced that he’s forged a relationship with Cash Money Records. We haven’t gotten word yet as to whether or not Baby and Wayne will be rolling out a television and film component, so it’s safe to say he signed as a rap artist.
You have to wonder if Bow Wow can manage under the roof that Baby and Slim built… It’s nowhere near as gangsta as it once was, with C-Murder, Silk, P and Mystikal on the frontline, but that element has to still exist. It will be interesting to see how his music changes and whether or not he can develop a product that actually speaks to people that care to hear him.
Then again, Omarion and Drake are there too, so it’s safe to say it’s pretty safe over there.
Bow Wow Tweets Farewell To Music Industry
by KS STAFF on Jul.08, 2009, under KS NEWS, THE EARLY EFFECT
Less than a week after Soulja Boy’s meltdown on Twitter, his homie Bow Wow is taking a similar route. Well, not so similar in the sense that he too is losing his marbles, but Bow Wow did reveal to the world via his cell phone that he has had enough of the fast life.
“Man I be gettn bored wit life. I wish I neva did and seen err thang so soon,” the 22 year old rapper disclosed yesterday. “I have nuffn to look forward 2. I’m down more than I am happy.”
It’s a shame that he feels that way, considering all the young, struggling, talented rappers that would love to have traded places with him. When you put his industry experience in perspective, it’s not much considering how true child prodigies such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, etc., evolved as professionals.
Now don’t get me wrong. I would never put Bow Wow or Soulja Boy in the same place as Mike or Stevie, but it just goes to show how spoiled industry kids are these days and does more to expose them for the talent they don’t have.
The GAME Issues New Challenge To Bow Wow
by KS STAFF on Mar.27, 2009, under KS NEWS, VID E OZE

Last August Bow Wow made the mistake of challenging Black Wallstreet CEO The GAME to a battle in Madden ‘09. For those of you who missed it, he (Bow Wow) got his ass whooped in front of a packed venue in New York. To make it worse, he lost $100,000 in the process as his Bengals lost 55-23 to The GAME’s New England Patriots.
According to The GAME, Bow Wow has yet to make good on the terms of the bet and since he hasn’t received his money in full, wants to go at it again. This time double or nothing on Xbox 360s Black College Football Experience (BCFX).
