T-Pain Is Turning Into A Big Ass Joke
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Oct.15, 2009, under THE EARLY EFFECT, VID E OZE
T-Pain is turning into one big ass joke. During the course of one day, Lil Wayne came to his defense (well, it’s actually an interview that’s been sifting out to the Internets part by part), as did Interscope’s newest mogul producer.
Then, to top it all off, we went and found some footage of his asshole arriving to a party in a hearse with select T-Pain signature items (including his big ass top hat and chain) in a coffin, simulating his death, while bumping Jay-Z’s “Death Of Autotune…” so the deejay inside could hear him pull up through his own headphones.
The idea that he thinks enough of the track to reason his own fall and/or failure, is a little pathetic. Why not just go and make a hot song to prove how viable you really are? Instead, this jerk attempts to make a joke out of it, weeks after he embarrassed himself with a wack ass apology (record), due to his misstep in Vegas.
Truth is, no one but you cares about your success and/or failure T-Pain. Buck up homie… or find a cave and dwell in it until you run out of vocoder royalties!!
NO I.D. Says Producers Killed The Game
by KS STAFF on Jun.11, 2009, under KS NEWS, VID E OZE
In this clip, Chicago bred producer No ID, who Jay Z credits as the producer on his recent single, “D.O.A.,” speaks against the idea of having multiple producers on an album. It’s a fad that has come to represent a truly “hot” album, but in his opinion, it has worked to destroy the fabric of urban music. Imagine Michael Jackson running off a list of production credits for Off The Wall instead of saying Q…
Wyclef Jean Joins Anti Auto-Tune Revolution
by KS STAFF on Jun.09, 2009, under SLAP
And another one!! Wyclef Jean has joined the anti auto-tune revolution with a comedic approach that includes actor/comedian/Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon. The two poke fun of the music craze that was denounced by Jay-Z in recent days with “Mr. Autotune.”
Cannon chimes in on the hook while Jean carries the track with witty bars such as:
I’M MISTER AUTOTUNE / IF YOU SING OFF KEY /FOR A SMALL FEE I CAN MAKE YOU A CELEBRITY…
“This song is a parody of the current craze sweeping the music world, auto-tune,” Wyclef wrote in his blog that helped introduce the track. “But don’t get it twisted, auto-tune might get you a hit single for the moment, but it can never substitute for raw talent.”
Jay-Z | “D.O.A.” (Death Of Autotune)
by KS STAFF on Jun.06, 2009, under SLAP

Considering his calculated efforts to destroy the throwback era, one has to wonder if rappers will follow Jay-Zs lead on this new track. The irony in this particular diss, is that Jay is speaking directly to his peers, one of which wears the tight shirts and pants he apparently doesn’t care for.
No ID, who has a longstanding relationship with Kanye West, provides the “violent” track, which calls for rappers to “stop T-Paining” and get back to their craft. Anti-ringtone, death of the autotune… it’s about damn time somebody said it.
I know we facin’ a recession, but the music y’all makin’ gon make it the Great Depression…
