Manny Pacquiao Says Mayweather Needs Him
by KS STAFF on Sep.01, 2010, under GAME
NEW YORK — Manny Pacquiao and his trainer Freddie Roach wanted the exact same thing that boxing fans everywhere wanted: Floyd Mayweather Jr.
They got Antonio Margarito instead.
Pacquiao and Roach said Wednesday that they agreed to every demand put forward by Mayweather for what could have been the richest fight in boxing history. But the former pound-for-pound king chose not to accept the fight, leaving Pacquiao to look elsewhere for a fall opponent.
He’ll face Margarito, the former welterweight champ, on Nov. 13 at Cowboys Stadium.
“I don’t need him, he needs me,” Pacquiao said of Mayweather, during a stop Wednesday in New York to promote his upcoming fight. “Compare my achievements in boxing to his achievements.” (continue reading…)
Snoop Dogg Calls Manny Pacquiao Out!
by KS STAFF on Jul.16, 2010, under VID E OZE
It’s safe to say the boxing world, hell, the WORLD wants to see a Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquaio superfight, but there are still some issues with it being made.
Snoop for one, thinks it’s all on Pacquiao and said as much in this here DPGSA (Dogg Pound Gangsta Service Announcement).
“Pacquiao, take the blood test,” he says. “Quit being scary. Get in the muthafuckin’ ring. If you really a boxer, show us you ain’t dirty and you ain’t takin’ no drugs.
“Take the test. Get in the ring and give the people what they want.”
Snoop is known to make a wage or two with big time sporting events. Most recently he put $20k on the Los Angeles Lakers to win the Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Funny Sh!t: Kevin Hart Impersonates The Mayweathers
by KS STAFF on Jun.22, 2010, under VID E OZE
With the dismantling of Sugar Shane Mosley, a fight in which Floyd “Money” Mayweather established himself as boxing’s best all over again, the haters have steered clear of him and his flamboyant camp.
But neither an ESPN commercial where he takes his frustration out on a Brian Kenny photocopy, nor a successful night in the ring with a formidable opponent, prevented comedian Kevin Hart from poking fun at the champ.
Hart and a colleague(?) take aim at Mayweather in this parody where the two emulate the infamous sparring sessions between Floyd and his uncle, Roger Mayweather.
We’d advise you be patient if you choose to press play. Just when you think it’s about to be a corny skit that you could have done without, Hart and his accomplice perform the “speed test.”
Floyd Mayweather Is The Proof In The Pudding
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on May.04, 2010, under GAME, THE EARLY EFFECT
I knew it all along. He’d finish the night at 41-0. He’d prove all the doubters wrong… AGAIN. He’d make the haters hate harder and his opponent would look nothing like the force all his proponents made him out to be.
Heard and seen it all before.
Now I can’t admit to knowing Mosley would land those two punches in the second round. If only for those two moments, the Pomona native showed why many picked him to win and equally important, why he is a Hall of Fame caliber boxer.
“Shane’s gonna come out and punch him in the mouth,” his trainer said during an episode of HBOs hit series 24/7. “Then, he’s going to grow a tail and turn into a dragon.”
And turn into a dragon Floyd “Money” Mayweather did. (continue reading…)
Mayweather Says He’s Better Than Ali, Ray Robinson
by KS STAFF on Apr.20, 2010, under VID E OZE
This past Saturday Floyd “Money” Mayweather got to running his mouth like he usually does and something came out of it that didn’t sit right with some people.
During a recorded interview with 24/7, he said he was better than Muhammed Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson. And he said it with conviction.
Now before you go and get all twisted up in the grill like a pretzel, think about what dude is up against.
As he prepares for arguably the biggest fight of his professional career, his psyche will most definitely have to be intact. Beyond preparing himself physically, Mayweather is sharpening his mental, while toying with his opponent and the media any chance he gets.
