Snoop & Game In Studio Bumpin’ ‘Trading Places’
by KS STAFF on Aug.30, 2010, under VID E OZE
This is a dark ass video, so dark we couldn’t rip an image from it. However, once you get through all the small talk and the engineer makes turns the track on, it’s worth it.
Irrespective of who Game may or may not think is being a big brother to him right now, Snoop has his full attention. It almost seems like Game is more excited about Snoops verse than his own.
Granted Calvin takes on the Piru persona – for purposes of the track – but Game is like a kid who just got his first Rubik’s Cube or some shit.
We get it homie. You’re excited Snoop is there with you. He’s your idol. You know all his songs… However, your job on your own track is to murder the verse no matter who’s there with you. Period.
Game Talks Up 50 Cent’s Discipline For Movie Role
by KS STAFF on Jun.10, 2010, under KS NEWS
In the past, Game would never have passed on an opportunity to knock an arch rival, but perhaps those sessions with Dr. Dre and Pharrell are paying off in more ways than one.
When asked about the character 50 Cent is playing in the upcoming film, Things Fall Apart, Game had nothing but good things to say about his ex boss.
“It’s crazy cause when I saw it I didn’t even think it was funny,” he told VIBE Magazine. “I was like, ‘Damn… he’s really looking the character.’ He really looks like he’s dedicated to that movie… like he’s about to win an award.”
Game went on to say that had he seen the image of a severely underweight and malnourished 50 Cent made its way to him five years ago, it would have been a mixtape cover.
Game Promises Not To Do It Again… Bey
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on May.12, 2010, under KS NEWS, WCW
Game never engaged in a beef he didn’t provoke… at least that’s what we’re lead to believe.
Whether it’s something someone said, did, or if it’s just seems like a good career move, the Compton emcee takes his bickering seriously.
Among his most recent subjects of ridicule are hip hop’s top dawg Jay Z and wife Beyonce. Game went hard on Jigga while on tour last year, but has since softened his posture, even shouting the NY native out on his “400 Bars” effort.
However, the barbs on Bey have apparently haunted him from city to city and he’s had enough.
“Maybe I stepped over the line because I listen to Beyoncé’s music. My girl listens to Beyoncé’s music. (continue reading…)
Game | “Shake” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Apr.28, 2010, under SLAP, VID E OZE, WCW
“Shake,” the official video from Game’s RED Room Mixtape, hosted by DJ Skee, is causing quite a stir. Not because he says the word (’shake’) fifty million times and says a bunch of witty shit, but because Dame Dash’s cousin is in it… looking GOOD!
In case you weren’t already aware, Stacey is on the current issue of SMOOTH and looks dashing to say the least. We know Black don’t crack, but DAMN Stacey! We thought it faded just a little bit.
Good to see Miss Lady on her tippy toes… oh and rah rah Game for the drop (produced by Cool & Dre.)
Game Not Worried About Drake Release Date
by KS STAFF on Apr.21, 2010, under VID E OZE, WCW
As he preps his fourth solo effort, The RED Album, Compton bred rapper Game took some time out (in the studio) to chop with Rap Up.
Among the topics discussed were his upcoming mixtape, The RED Room – hosted by DJ Skee, Dr. Dre’s participation (as a rapper and emcee) on RED and his upcoming release date.
The latter was a point of interest to the interviewer, as Young Money’s Drake is slated to drop Thank Me Later – his long anticipated solo debut – the same day. However, Game shrugged off any thought of competition.
“It’s a package deal,” he said. “You just support hip hop. You go get Thank Me Later, you grab RED and you’re good. Then the next week you get to come back and buy Eminem. Great! June’s going to be a good month.”
For the “record,” both RED and Thank Me Later drop June 15.
