Yesterday, Vlad won a portion of the total sum in the amount of $300,000.

The incident was instigated when Vlad asked Ross about his past as a correctional officer in Miami, Florida. Ross apparently didn’t agree with the line of questioning and then orchestrated a brutal attack.

Vlad was left with seven stitches below one of his eyes, a corneal abrasion, three facial fractures and possible nerve damage.

Vlad was represented by Brian Caplan of Caplan & Ross LLP, who fought tooth and nail for his client.

Suge Knight Loses Teeth In Car Accident? Still Wants Kanye

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.31, 2010, under KS NEWS, WCW

suge-kanyeOnly a week after being cleared of a battery charge in which he and ten other men were alleged to have beaten and robbed Bay Area rapper Yukmouth, Suge Knight is in the news again.

This time however, the former Death Row impresario is a victim? Well, sort of. Knight was supposed to appear in a Miami courtroom, but was unable to make it due to a car accident where he apparently lost a few of his chompers.

Ironically, Knight is the plaintiff in the case, whose details ultimately found him shot in the femur at a party Kanye West played host to in 2005.

“He’s a very adept businessman,” said Marc Brumer, who confirmed Knight lost some of his front teeth in the accident. “He’s a mess, but he’s sharp. Nobody likes Kanye West anymore. Even though he’s still selling millions of records, everybody’s sick of him.”

New Death Row Forgot About Dre

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.12, 2010, under KS NEWS

dreAndre Young, known to the world as the legendary super producer Dr. Dre, filed a lawsuit yesterday claiming the new owners of Death Row Records – WideAwake Entertainment – released classic DR materials without his consent.

The suit maintains the Canadian based entertainment label failed to pay him due royalties for the Chronic, which were severed when he left the label in 1996.

“When it came to paying artist royalties and honoring limits on Dr. Dre recordings that could be released, the “new” Death Row Records, to quote our client, ‘forgot about Dre,’” Young’s attorney Howard King said in a statement. “This lawsuit will make sure they remember.”

The suit also insists Dre had no clause in his contract allowing for digital distribution of his music, which WIDEawake also assumed.

Dr. Dre and his lawyers are seeking monetary consolation in the amount of $75,000 for a variety of damages, including breach of contract, false advertising, trademark infringement and misappropriation of publicity.

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Nov.12, 2009, under KS NEWS

50 centRapper 50 Cent has had an ongoing feud with World Star Hip Hop and recently, it took a turn for the worse… if you’re World Star that is.

According to 50, the video friendly hip hop site made headway by using his image without his permission and now, it’s time to pay the piper.

50 sat down with Atlanta radio station V103 recently and discussed how he has decided to go about handling the cyber beef.

“I gotta lawsuit against WorldStar for utilizing my likeness. A lot of people felt like that was my site because they saw my face on the cover of [the website] for a long time,” explained 50. “I have lawyers on retainers and I have to pay them so much money anyway, so we’ll go back and forth to court until [they] can’t afford a subway sandwich. It’s already too late for [them].”

50’s fourth solo album, Before I Self Destruct, is slated for a November 16 release.
