Ludacris & Bill O’Reilly Squash Beef
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.11, 2010, under KS NEWS
It’s been a good, long 7 years, but the beef between Atlanta rapper Ludacris and Bill O’Reily, is finally over.
Not that O’Reily cared or anything. It’s what he works for. It’s how he’s become famous or infamous, if you will. It’s more or less, what he lives for.
Ludacris is the one that actually thought about it all these years and confronted the conservative talk show host the first opportunity he got.
“The first thing I said to him was, ‘I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me’,” Ludacris said.
“I identified that I wanted to speak to him when I saw his name on the guest list. I looked at what table he was on, and I walked my a** straight to that table.”
DJ Khaled & Friends | “All I Do Is Win”
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.02, 2010, under VID E OZE
Despite what the GBC may think, DJ Khaled’s philosophies and trademark lexicon have seen him excel in the music industry to the point where he can boast about his achievements.
Instead of doing it all by himself (which he only does on stage at award shows anyway), he brought along Snoop Dogg, Rappin’ Rick Ross, Ludacris and T Pain to do the deed.
Unsurprisingly, Luda kills it, leaving particles of the track for the remaining emcees to do their respective thing(s) and Pain, well, he does what he does.
Hopefully we won’t have to hear it every five minutes on the radio this summer. Khaled’s Victory is available for purchase online and in stores across the country as of today.
BTS: Ludacris Ft. Nicki Minaj | “My Chick Bad”
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.18, 2010, under VID E OZE
Ludacris and Director Taj let their media friends in while they cut the video for “My Chick Bad” featuring Young Money’s Nicki Minaj.
Both Luda and Taj grant the cameras interviews, attempting to capture the essence of the video through dialogue. The finished product will be available tomorrow on BET.
The cameos are off the hook, as the DTP camp set up shop in Miami for the Super Bowl. Lil Scrappy, Trina, Eve and Diamond are among them.
Tip & Luda Drop $20 Gs To Help ATL Flood Victims
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Sep.30, 2009, under KS NEWS
They may not have always seen eye to eye, but both Ludacris and the self proclaimed King of the South, T.I., aren’t so visually impaired that they can’t see when the city they both call home, needs them.
In an effort of philanthropy, both rappers donated $10k to aid victims who were affected by the horrific storms in Atlanta just last week.
The damages were estimated at $60 million, left 10 people dead and devastated over 400 homes.
So as to expedite the process of recovery, The Ludacris Foundation teamed up with Home Depot and Sam’s Club. Additionally, Luda’s charity is planning a food drive and gift card giveaway.
Ludacris Gives Away 20 Cars To The Needy
by KS STAFF on Sep.10, 2009, under KS NEWS
As has become the custom in years past, Ludacris took over Atlanta this past Labor Day Weekend and among the parties and special events, his philanthropic efforts shone brightest. In an effort to help stimulate the community he was born from, Luda gave away 20 cars to deserving citizens of Atlanta.
Over 4,000 essays were submitted to his foundation at 300 words a pop and the winners were awarded based on necessity and obvious struggle.
”People are getting laid off, and now are looking for jobs,” Ludacris said. ”To be efficient, you need some transportation of your own to get there. That’s why I wanted to give back to those who need it.”
Among the most memorable essays Ludacris read was Mading Duor’s of Sudan. He basically lost his entire family five years ago before moving to Atlanta with his son and eventually lost him to a car accident involving a drunken driver.
“His story touched my heart,” said Ludacris. “He’s endured so much in his life and he’s still here standing. I’m very proud to have helped him.”
