Your eardrums may or may not remember Kurupt’s “In Gotti We Trust” – a track/video where he reclaimed his position as one of the dopest lyricists in the game… On it, he and X to the Z shared the mic, Kurupt taking the lion’s share of bars therein.

Fittingly, Kurupt returns the favor on this track, which re-establishes Xzibit in the same category.. and 40 Glocc chips in too… We think. Besides some adlibs that do everything to introduce the forgotten Phenom, the voices kind of fade.

Let’s face it. For all the people’s doors he knocked on and rides he pimped while a mainstay on MTV, Xzibit has always been a vicious emcee when he wanted to be.

We calmly accepted his decision to evolve into television and film. But now that’s over and done (as far as we can tell), we’ll welcome him back with open arms… as long as he continues to spit hot fire like this here B!

Isley Brothers founding member Ron Isley is free from prison today after serving a three year sentence on tax evasion charges. The 68-year old legendary R&B singer was sent to prison in 2007 and labeled a “serial tax avoider” by a judge for mounting upwards of $3 million in debt.

Isley promised that among his first stops out of the joint would be the studio, where he will record new material for an Isley Brothers gospel album and a solo joint.

He also touched on his experience behind bars, offering how painful an experience it was to learn some of his peers circumstances.

“(I was) talking to young people and crying with them and people that were gonna be in there some years and that part really hurts,” says Isley. “They (inmates) looked up to me.”

Mr. Big allowed that he was able to cope by staying focused and doing what he does.

“I was working at the chapel and I did gospel shows every week,” he says. “that kept me up.”

Isley told radio personality his new solo album will feature the likes of T.I., Rick Ross and Lauryn Hill among others.

Those of you wanting a Lil Wayne fix won’t have to wait much longer.

Rebirth, his seventh studio album, is set to hit stores December 15th.

The album will be packaged as part of a dual disc set with, “We Are Young Money,” Wayne’s Young Money compilation project.

Rebirth will feature appearances from Travis Barker, Lenny Kravitz, Drake, and Fall Out Boy.

Wayne’s first rock album, Rebirth is the culmination of Wayne’s persistence to broaden himself as an artist.

In the past year, video footage surfaced showing an animated and artistic Lil Weezy playing the guitar onstage for his fans.

Rebirth was originally slated for an April release, but was pushed back several times for various reasons.

She might not have put out an album that made anyone ever pay her any attention musically, but no one ever accused Christina Milian of being hard to look at. For her career’s sake, let’s hope the record sounds as good as this picture looks!! No title yet for the 2009 Myspace Records release.
