Lil Wayne Fights Gun Case In NY Courtroom Today

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Oct.21, 2009, under KS NEWS

weekylegalLil Wayne is expected to continue the fight against allegations that a gun on his tour bus belonged to him when he enters a New York courtroom today.

Forensics experts will be on hand to determine whether or not low copy DNA profiling can be established in a court of law.

Low copy DNA is often used to identify suspects in criminal cases by identifying them with small portions of DNA.

The New Orleans born rapper denied possession of the gun when his tour bus was pulled over in 2007.

If the Young Money front man is in fact found guilty, he could face up to three and a half years in prison.

Diddy Negotiates Free Rides For New Year’s Eve

by KS STAFF on Dec.30, 2008, under KS NEWS

After offering to donate $1 million to the city of New York in exchange for erecting an immense air-filled version of Ciroc Vodka, Sean “Diddy” Combs was denied and then swiftly switched to an alternate plan to help ring in the New Year for fellow New Yorkers.

So instead of trading out the Big Apple for a Big Bottle of Blue Vodka, thousands of New Yorkers will enjoy free cab rides courtesy of the Bad Boy impresario.

“New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely,” Combs said.

Ciroc street teams will mill in the Times Square/Chelsea area from 11 PM until 3 AM or until supplies are depleted and willing people in the area will receive $15 debit cards courtesy of Diddy, Ciroc and New York’s Taxi and Limousine Commission.

Katt Williams Arrested On Gun Charges… Again

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Nov.07, 2008, under KS NEWS

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested on weapons charges Thursday, November 6, 2008. Scheduled to perform later that night, Williams and his ten person posse, did a little window shopping to pass the time. Unfortunately, his red Escalade was parked with no license plate and authorities approached the vehicle to determine who the legal owner was.

To their surprise, they found guns in plain sight and moved to arrest Williams when he emerged from a shop and claimed the Escalade as well as a Mercedes.

He did, however, post bail and make good on his committment to perform in front of a sold out audience only an hour later than he was scheduled to do so.

Some time into his act Williams joked, “I’m not moving at my usual pace. I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago.”
