After doing everything he could to help the Lakers implode with a paltry shooting night and two ill advised shots, Ron Artest showed some hustle and helped move the Lakers one step closer to a third straight appearance in the NBA Finals.

Ron Ron’s stats aren’t even worth mentioning, but his heroics in the end are.

With the score tied at 101, Artest muscled his way across the lane, basically through Jason Richardson – who coincidentally had just made the game tying 3, grabbed an errant airball by Kobe and banked in what he called his biggest “layup” ever.

When it was all said and done, the squad rushed him like a newly crowned team of little league champs and his post interview with Craig Sager produced an instant classic.

It took awhile, but the actor in Ron Artest has finally emerged and he will debut in a reality series entitled “They Call Me Crazy,” says the Hollywood Reporter.

The show, which will be developed and produced by E1 Entertainment and Tijuana Entertainment, will provide a peak into the Los Angeles power forward’s day to day. In it, fans and viewers will learn intimate details surrounding his music label Tru Warier and of course, his well chronicled career as an NBA player.

“I’m really excited to have the opportunity to invite people into my world to see the real me, and show them there are many more sides to the Ron Artest they see on the basketball court,” Artest said in a statement.

Los Angeles Lakers forward, Ron Artest, and his sister, Latoya Holmes-Ivey, are at the center of a welfare fraud case in Indiana.

Holmes-Ivey was able to qualify for rent assistance after claiming to have no source of income. While she is the primary resident of the home, if it is found that Artest willingly gave her money and knew that she was lying in order to receive assistance, he could face charges of welfare fraud and theft.

The home that Holmes-Ivey shares with her three children was raided after an anonymous complaint that the woman was receiving unreported money from her brother, at the same time she was receiving rent assistance from the government. If found guilty, she could have to repay at least $34,000.

This certainly wouldn’t be the first time that Ron Artest has been in trouble, either on or off the court. Between being the center of a massive brawl during a Pacers-Pistons game in 2004 and being arrested in 2007 for domestic violence, Artest isn’t a stranger to controversy.

Once you get past her new facial reconstruction, Toni Braxton still looks and sounds like the award winning artist we all fell in love with.
