Doin’ Work: So Fresh So Green @ Vessel (SF)
by Art Director on Mar.12, 2010, under WORK
If you’ve been following us (here, not on Twitter), you know we’ve been playing around with this 3D effect for the past few months.
Our client likes it and while we never really thought of incorporating it into our work as often as we do now, it’s a good look. Don’t you think?
The more we play with it, the more we like it… and the more we like it, the better it will get.
As you can see, the party is next week, so if you are in the Bay, check it out and tell em the good people over @ KS sent you!
Doin’ Work: The Password Party @ Vessel (SF)
by Art Director on Mar.02, 2010, under WORK
If you’ve ever been to San Francisco and not had the chance to attend a Password Party, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Since taking on this account, we’ve designed about four or five of these flyers and interestingly enough, each one has its own identity.
We’d done the key. We’d done the safe. We’d done the key and the safe. We’d done the key to the heart.. and so on.
So this time, I decided to do a merge some elements from some other parties (Password included) and work a little magic to come up with a fresh look for a fresh party! I started off with a gold & silver blend and per our client’s request, switched the color scheme up (red, then turquoise… and back to red).

Doin’ Work: Hearts 4 Haiti @ Vessel (San Francisco)
by Art Director on Feb.18, 2010, under WORK
This came in a couple of nights ago and as you can see (if you click the pic), the party/fundraiser is Monday.
So I decided to put a little twist on it and play off the Haitian flag (<– in the gallery at bottom of this post). I’m not the most sports inclined person in the world, so when the template came in I thought “Sam” meant “Uncle Sam.”
I was wondering why he needed to be on the flyer and when Ali walked in, he explained to me that the focus was supposed to be on “Samuel Dalembert.” Needless to say, I was embarrassed!
So I continued, changed out the images and Location 415 requested different pics of A.I. and the other A.I. (I learn fast!).
Doin’ Work: The 2nd Annual Pop Ya Bottle Extravaganza
by Art Director on Jan.07, 2010, under WORK
We were called upon by our folks at Location 415 in The City (that’s San Francisco) to get this done in a matter of 24 hours. There were a lot of people involved, so there was a lot of maneuvering prior to presenting the final product.
It is what is it though. We pride ourselves in making our clients happy!
See the evolution of the 2nd Annual Pop Ya Bottle Extravaganza below and get there if you’re anywhere near the Yay… It’s going to be official!
12 People Shot And Injured At SF Concert
by KS STAFF on Nov.16, 2009, under KS NEWS
The San Francisco Bay Area community and the officers that are sworn to protect it are still in shock today after a gunman opened fire into a crowd of brawling men at Regency Center last night. Eight were hit directly with bullets and four others suffered injuries from bullet fragments and broken glass.
Per the Associated Press, the man was not in cahoots with any of the people he viciously attacked with his weapon, as he ran away shortly after his assault.
The concert, House of Soul, was slated to feature the likes of Letoya Luckett, Trey Songz and others.
According to eye witnesses, the fight broke out at or around 10:30 PM in front of the hall and shortly thereafter, the triggerman got his thrills.
KMEL, the Bay Area’s number one station for hip hop and R&B, hosted the event.
