Big Boi Ft. Too $hort & George Clinton | “Fo Yo Sorrows” (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Mar.10, 2010, under VID E OZE
Big Boi went and tapped two self professed chronic connoisseurs in George Clinton and Snoop Dogg to carry out the vision and sound of “Fo Yo Sorrows.”
Probable material from the long awaited Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty, the track is unsurprisingly a testament to being free to blow with no regard.
Don’t want no girlfriend/ I just need my dope
won’t flip on the whirlwind/ I’m behind on my smoke…
Or some shit like that… you know how it is when Mr. P-Funk gets to spittin’ his isms.
Snoop Dogg & Kurupt Take On New Identities In “Cancun”
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Feb.02, 2010, under VID E OZE
Seems like the more music he makes the more inventive Big Snoop Dogg becomes and this new track with Kurupt is no exception.
The two West Coast legends take on alternate personalities – Slim and Keaf – in this clip, which will be found on their collaborative mixtape effort Slim & Keaf (in stores 3/23).
While it takes awhile to get into, the results are decent. Granted, a little outside the norm for your typical Eastide Long Beach gangster.
However, in reality these Crip affiliates are grown with a capital G. That said, they’ve put in enough work to have a little fun in the sun.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the awesome sounds and ’scenery’ of “Cancun.”
Throwback Thursdays: Rob Base | “It Takes 2″ (Video)
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Jan.21, 2010, under OLD SKOOL JEWEL, SLAP, THROWBACK THURSDAYS, VID E OZE
Unlike Snoop Dogg and the rest of the young thuggin’ generation, Rob Base took the “I Wanna Rock” pledge to heart. He actually got out there on the block with the rest of the hood and ‘rocked’ with his people.
Not to slight Snoop or his single, which is quickly turning into 2010s version of “A Milli” with recent additions from the likes of Jay Z and Luda (”King’s version) and Skillz? It bangs with a capital B (no offense Cuz).
But there was something about going to a house party back in the early ’90s, pushing up on that special someone, then gyrating until your body went limp, all because of this song.
It gave dudes a reason to gig and chicks a reason to shake what their Mama gave em.
And without further adieu…
Snoop On CBS Prank Show “I Get That A Lot”
by KS STAFF on Jan.07, 2010, under VID E OZE
His album may not be flying off the shelves, but you can’t deny Big Snoop Dogg’s hustle. Contrary to the image subtitle you see above, that is indeed Snoop Dogg.
Here, the Doggfather plays a parking attendant on this episode of “I Get That A Lot.”
His acting skills and impromptu ability to change gears during conversation make for some interesting exchanges.
