Snoop & Game In Studio Bumpin’ ‘Trading Places’
by KS STAFF on Aug.30, 2010, under VID E OZE
This is a dark ass video, so dark we couldn’t rip an image from it. However, once you get through all the small talk and the engineer makes turns the track on, it’s worth it.
Irrespective of who Game may or may not think is being a big brother to him right now, Snoop has his full attention. It almost seems like Game is more excited about Snoops verse than his own.
Granted Calvin takes on the Piru persona – for purposes of the track – but Game is like a kid who just got his first Rubik’s Cube or some shit.
We get it homie. You’re excited Snoop is there with you. He’s your idol. You know all his songs… However, your job on your own track is to murder the verse no matter who’s there with you. Period.
Snoop & Rev. Sharpton Celebrate MJs Life
by KS STAFF on Aug.30, 2010, under VID E OZE
Michael Jackson’s birthday drew a number of celebrities out yesterday to celebrate the fallen icon’s birthday (August 29, 1958). Among them were activist Rev. Al Sharpton and West Coast veteran rapper Snoop Dogg, who both deferred to Jackson as an inspiration to music and people around the globe.
Spike Lee introduced Snoop, who took the stage, performed and fielded interviews to express his love for Mike.
“Michael Jackson, his music, his spirit represented love and peace around the whole world and it influenced me in what I do,” Snoop said. “So for me to come through, is just showing love and respect and just paying homage to a great artist who meant so much to music in general… and the people.”
NBA 2K11 Taps Snoop Dogg For Official Trailer
by KS STAFF on Aug.17, 2010, under GAME
The new trailer for NBA 2K11 made its way to the Internets and West Coast veteran Snoop Dogg got the nod for the official musical intro.
Nice track, but let’s hope he doesn’t start brokering for an appearance on it like he has been for HBO’s “True Blood.”
As for the game, your initial look at Mike Jordan is here too, as are a number of other Hall of Famers including Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing and James Worthy. Embattled baby daddy/chronic alcohol consumer Shawn Kemp also makes an appearance.
Getting back to his Airness, it’s not clear via the following clip, which one of him the game will feature. For starters, he has hair and sports the original Air Jordans. That said, chances are there will be a variety of him to choose from.
October 5th… mark that.
Snoop Dogg Calls Manny Pacquiao Out!
by KS STAFF on Jul.16, 2010, under VID E OZE
It’s safe to say the boxing world, hell, the WORLD wants to see a Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquaio superfight, but there are still some issues with it being made.
Snoop for one, thinks it’s all on Pacquiao and said as much in this here DPGSA (Dogg Pound Gangsta Service Announcement).
“Pacquiao, take the blood test,” he says. “Quit being scary. Get in the muthafuckin’ ring. If you really a boxer, show us you ain’t dirty and you ain’t takin’ no drugs.
“Take the test. Get in the ring and give the people what they want.”
Snoop is known to make a wage or two with big time sporting events. Most recently he put $20k on the Los Angeles Lakers to win the Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Snoop Dogg Jumps On The Landy Cognac Train
by KS STAFF on Jul.07, 2010, under KS NEWS
Amidst the decision of the summer of 2010, E-40 looks to have recruited his own free agent to Landy Cognac, with whom he’s a veteran spokesman.
Landy has presumably been after Snoop Dogg for some time and the influence of the Bay Area Ambassador had to help lure him onto the award winning brand considered by some as the “New Generation of Cognac.”
The Beverage Testing Institute recently recognized Landy’s XO with 96 points and Landy also earned its second consecutive “Double Gold Medal” for its VSOP by the 2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
