Teddy Riley Denies Swinging On His Daughters
by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Dec.31, 2009, under KS NEWS
Earlier in the week it was reported the New Jack Swing pioneer Teddy Riley beat and bruised his daughter Taja and her older sister.
Riley issued a statement to TMZ that denied any wrongdoing in the matter.
He expressed nothing but love for his daughters and offered that his desire to do for them resulted in irreverent behavior on their part.
“I love my daughters, but I will not allow my children to disrespect me in my home. Contrary to what I have been accused of, I would never beat my children,” Riley stated to TMZ.com. “Perhaps, I should have been a stronger disciplinarian as they were growing up.
“I worked very hard so that my children would want for nothing. In hindsight, I see that it was a mistake to give them everything they wanted so that they could have the childhood I never had. Unfortunately, they have taken me, and the privileged life I have given them, completely for granted.”
Teddy Riley Goes Chris Brown On His Daughters
by Malika S. Flowers on Dec.29, 2009, under KS NEWS
On December 23 hitmaker and new jack swing pioneer, Teddy Riley, allegedly attacked his 18-year-old daughter Taja, and her older sister. He is accused of stomping and punching his daughters and threatening to kill them with guitar from the video game “Rock Band.”
Taja claims that the assault resulted in multiple injuries, including “bashes to temple, (and) contusion on face.”
A restraining order has been granted and Riley is ordered to stay at least 100 feet from Taja.
Riley is well known as an 80’s and 90’s hip-hop/r&b innovator, and is behind such hits as “Make It Last Forever” by Keith Sweat and “Remember the Time” by Michael Jackson. He was also the producer in his hit groups Guy and later Blackstreet.
If this is how he reacts when someone beats his high score, his daughters will probably never want to play video games with him again.
