Nicki Minaj | Itty Bitty Piggy (Video)

by PAPERBOI PIMPEN on Sep.02, 2009, under VID E OZE

Fresh off the announcement of her new deal with Young Money (did anyone really think there was a bidding war?), new Nicki Minaj has surfaced. Thankfully it’s a video and she’s sporting skin tight jeans, complete with a halter top that accentuates the top half of her ‘frame…’ Not that she doesn’t sound decent on the mic, but how many other women are out there to demolish? She seems to think they’re important, whoever they are.

Speaking of her speak, is it a requirement to sound like your on drugs as an artist on Young Money? Does Lil Wayne persist his artists slur and sound like… well, him? Not that I’m hating, but there’s a point in the video where she gets loose and sounds like… well, Mr. Young Money.

In any scenario, it’s great eye candy and her audience (it stems from a live performance) seems to love it!

Enjoy!!

Omarion Denies Being Dropped From Young Money

by KS STAFF on Aug.21, 2009, under KS NEWS

omarion-3Earlier this week former B2K frontman Omarion was released from Cash Money affiliate Young Money Records only two months after signing with the upstart label. The news was announced on Twitter by Young Money artist Mack Maine, who accused the R&B singer of leaking a track from a collaboration between he and Lil Wayne.

“Omarion is no longer Young Money,” Mack Maine tweeted. “The song they leaked ft. Wayne is not official .. good luck 2 him in his future.”

Today, Omarion released is own statement regarding the failed relationship, allowing that he was not dropped, but chose instead to pursue other options.

“I have a lot of respect and admiration for the genius of Lil’ Wayne and the entire Young Money family,” the statement read. “I asked to be released from the label to pursue other opportunities that were recently presented to me. Because of our relationship, Lil’ Wayne had no issue with us ending our business relationship and released me from the label.

Drake Says Sorry For BET Performance

by KS STAFF on Jul.03, 2009, under KS NEWS

Unsurprisingly, BET felt the heat after a wack ass awards show that included a tasteless finale by Young Money. In a recent story granted to allhiphop.com, the network offered an apology and a representative released an official statement that reads:

“We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance for all BET Awards ’09 encore presentations.”

Thankfully, a day after releasing a confusing, controversial video that had heads turning once again, Drake stepped up to the plate and offered his own apologies to fans and viewers who took in the degrading performance. It read:

“That…was a terrible idea that I’ll never do to myself again. But I was being pressed from different areas to perform, and I think what really happened at the BET Awards is with the passing of Mike, the climate really changed, as far as the award show goes.

“I don’t think it called for us to perform ‘Every Girl’ and ‘Always Strapped,’ and I think it was an award show filled with tributes and music and these genuine heartfelt speeches. And to sort of climax out of a very tongue-n-cheek point, and then people misconstruing Wayne’s daughters and her friends coming out on stage — it was just timed very poorly and it definitely wasn’t planned like that, but with that being said, it is what is. I believe in Wayne and myself and it’s nothing we can’t bounce back from. To anyone who was offended, my personal apologies, it wasn’t intended to offend anybody.”

Lil Wayne –> “Kobe Bryant” (Video)

by KS STAFF on Jun.08, 2009, under GAME, VID E OZE

We’re really at a loss about what to call it, but Peep the video for Lil Wayne’s “Ode to Kobe Bryant” below. It’s basically the song over Bryant’s Top Ten of 2009, but it doesn’t hurt to see or hear either again right?
